SG 1170 Hand fed and Table top model
This is the same printer as our fully fed machine. What we have done is that we have removed the feeders and depositors. A machine that is adapted for the really small volumes or for those who will run products that cannot be feed. The gap between the ribbon and the print head is a 35 cm and the head can be moved in and out so you can easily get your print where it needs to be. Of course, there is a back stop on the belt so that you put your product in the same place all the time. This model can also be integrated into an existing packaging line. This printer is also perfect to use when you have big cardboard.
Utilizing the OEM Fixed Imager 1000 (FI-1000) from HP Specialty Printing Systems, the 1170 from Postmark offers up to 11.70″ width of print at speeds up to: 18in/sec 27m/min 98ft/min
Cardboard boxes — Shipping boxes, product boxes, e-commerce packaging
Large cartons — Wine boxes, display boxes, oversized packaging
Thick materials — Corrugated cardboard, heavy board, rigid substrates
Specialty items — Products too thick, heavy or irregular for automatic feeders
Prototypes and samples — Quick test prints before scaling to full production
The handfeed printer is the right choice when:
You print small batches that do not justify automatic feeding
Your products are too thick, large or irregular for a feeder
You need a compact printer that fits on a table or workbench
You want to test print jobs before committing to a full production run
For higher volumes with automatic feeding, see our SG-1170 Paper Bag Printer. For integration into an existing line, see our SG-1170 Overprinter.
Yes. Despite its compact size, the handfeed model can be integrated into existing packaging lines where manual feeding is preferred or required. This makes it a flexible cardboard box printer for companies that need both standalone and inline capability.
